PMC’s Women’s Basketball All-Star Night
Rising Star Game & All-Star Game
Welcome to PMC’s Women’s Basketball All-Star Night! This is a special seasonal event that includes both the Rising Star Game and the All-Star Game.
All-Star Night is typically held during the final week of playoffs or one to two weeks after, and brings together players, teams, and members of the PMC community (and their families) for an evening of connection, competition, and celebration.
This night exists to recognize the players who help shape our league and elevate our community, both on and off the court.
What These Games Represent
The All-Star Game and Rising Star Game are designed to:
-
Celebrate standout contributions across all teams
-
Allow players to compete with and against new teammates
-
Create balanced, competitive matchups
-
Strengthen community beyond regular-season rosters
These games are competitive by nature, but they are equally about camaraderie, fairness, and shared respect for the game.
Game Format
-
Games consist of two 20-minute halves
-
Rules follow the official PMC Women’s Basketball Rulebook
-
Rosters are intentionally built to create balanced competition
-
Equal playing time is expected — players are asked to sub themselves in and out respectfully
Player Eligibility & Voting Overview
Ballots & Voting
-
Voting is conducted via online ballots
-
Voting is limited to registered players only
-
Players may not vote for themselves
Important Expectations
-
Players are strongly encouraged to vote, but voting is not mandatory
-
PMC will not chase teams or players to submit ballots
-
If an entire team does not submit ballots, that team may not be represented
-
If ballots are submitted incorrectly, results stand as submitted
These guidelines are in place to ensure fairness while keeping the process manageable at scale.
All-Star Game Selection Process (Women’s Basketball)
-
Each team is eligible for representation
-
The highest-voted player from each team is selected first
Once every team has its top-voted player selected:
-
Remaining roster spots are filled by the next highest point totals overall, regardless of team
Additional details:
-
Players are ranked by total points received
-
Rosters are finalized to maintain competitive balance
-
Players who are selected but cannot attend:
-
Are replaced by the next highest-voted eligible player
-
Final rosters are released after selected players confirm availability.
Rising Star Game Eligibility
The Rising Star Game follows the same voting and selection structure as the All-Star Game, with additional eligibility requirements.
Rising Star Definition
-
Rising Stars are players in their first or second season with PlayMakers Club
-
Players entering their third season or beyond are not eligible
-
Eligibility is determined by PMC records, not self-identification
-
Roster Size
Rising Star roster size may vary depending on:
-
Number of eligible Rising Stars
-
Voting participation
-
Competitive balance considerations
PMC reserves the right to adjust roster sizes to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience.
